Don't order your food from here if you want to get it within the promised timeframe. Its says 20 minutes, and though I ordered more than 80 minutes ago, my food is still not here. Restaurant told be they left a long time ago - guess my food is going to be pretty cold.

Order was very late. Didn't even leave the restaurant within the estimated delivery time range (30-45 minutes).

Bad attitude and service of restaurant

Being a vegetarian, Bukhara Grill came highly recommended for [traditional] North Indian fare. I ordered two curry dishes (Palak Ke Kofte, Dal Kabila) and couple of breads for 2. The food was absolutely great. It was delivered within 30 minutes and was piping hot...just served and saw the food vanish. I have ate at the restaurant several times, and can say all the visits, including the delivery, have been very consistent.

Good food, very bad delivery.

Order was 25 minutes late with no apology - only the delivery person blaming it on the kitchen. The Korma was too spicy seemingly to cover for the fact that it's not really very well spiced or made korma. OVERPRICED!

expensive but really good

The food is good. But it takes them more than 2hrs to deliver the whole order. And I'm 5mins walking distance away.
Posted 2 months ago by Lishu L.
Delivery time is 1.5 hrs as opposed to 30-45 minutes claimed on the order details. Only order if you want to wait 2 hours.

Don't bother ordering from here unless you have an hour and 45 minutes to wait for your food.

I picked up my order, and the restaurant looked very clean, which is important to me. The food was great, good portion sizes.

Very poor food. maybe a one time thing the day I ordered. Ordered veggie platter. Dal was too salty, vegetable curry was bland. Will not order again

I found the Saag Aloo to be a bit too creamy but very good.

Alright, so it was mostly delicious. Getting pricey for take-out though.

Had a wonderful experience dining in here. So went for delivery, and was thoroughly disappointed. Do not order before dinner time. I felt like it was food from the afternoon. Dal Bukhara was too salty, and the kababs werent up to the mark. Id still say good for dine in, bad for delivery. 2 stars.

Extremely slow delivery (over 1.5hrs) for medicore food.

Good flavors and interesting spices, but the chicken was a little funny texture.

Bukhara is consistently one of the best indian restaurants in midtown. Palak Paneer and Palak ke Kofta are two of their best veggie options. Delivery, however is sub-par and often takes an hour in the evening.

The food was good but didn't make up for the 1.5 hr delivery time and the ice-cold food. It's definitely not worth the money. This is my 2nd time ordering. The first time took them a little over an hour to deliver and when asked they said the delivery guy's bicycle broke. They had the same excuse today. I guess his bike breaks often or they need to come up with more creative excuses. I'd order from somewhere else.

Love the $16.95 buffet at this underrated Northern Indian! The second floor is the spot to be..with an outdoor terrace that has a view of the neighboring rooftops, it makes dining here a delightful & romantic treat. The tandoori meats & their chicken tikka in the buffet were a bit bland. However, the pepper chicken (much like a fusion of Chinese Szechuan cooked w/ peppercorns & indian spices), chicken makhani: a Northern indian dish w/ roasted chicken & creamy tomato sauce, Gobhi Taka Tin: cauliflower w/ bell peppers, tomatoes, & spices, Dahi Baingan: eggplant in yogurt & spices, Palak paneer: spinach w/ homemade cottage cheese, paneer dilruba: cottage cheese in a creamy, tomato sauce, & lentil dishes were all very good. The most delish thing was the Dahi Aloo Papri: potato patties w/ the chickpeas mixed in tamarind sauce. In addition, I particularly love their long-grain rice!

Some of the best tikka masala - excellent sauce, great portion, and real, tender chicken (not the boney, fatty stuff you often find). Veggies were pretty ordinary though. Also I'd probably try a different bread from the garlic one next time, mine was a bit burnt and the garlic flavor wasn't outstanding.

This place is good ONLY if you go to the restaurant. They are careless with orders and the quality does not justify the price for delivery. Trust me, you'll be disappointed (and this is a good place to eat Indian food)

I ordered the Tandoori Chicken lunch special and it was NOT good. This place has a lot of good reviews so I thought it was a sure bet. I also received a tinfoil ball of something warn rolled up, I was thinking it was a potato...no, it was a rolled up salad...I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Absolutely THE BEST Indian restaurant in New York City.

Waited almost 2 hours for food (listed on web as 15-30 minute delivery). Food never arrived, called 2x. Said they'd left it at front desk of hotel, but never bothered to contact me.

The portions are very generous. Best Chicken Tikka Masala I've tried in the city... the sauce is intense yet very creamy. Worth the price!

Chicken Makhani was pretty fatty

We ordered the butter chicken, naan and kulfi -- it was all so good that we ordered again the very next night. We especialy loved the way they packaged the frozen kulfi in a separate bag with ice.

The Chicken Achari Tikka (cooked in a clay oven) was mind-blowing.. succulent, smoky, fragrant, well-marinaded. Paired it with a Pudina (mint) Paratha.. finger-lickin' good.

The food is good but the service is lousy. It took them over an hour to deliver food that was promised in 20-35 minutes, when their customer has limited time. ...and this was after a great tip!
Posted 3 years ago by Ashley C.
Chicken meat in the chicken tikka masala is dry. How can that be when it's stewed? Delivery arrived at the last minute of the range estimated - 55 mins.

great food - too expensive for appetizers

If you eat at the actual restaurant the food is tasty and the service good. I really like this place. However, delivery is a different story. The food takes forever to arrive and is (in the 3 tiimes I've ordered from them) usually no longer even warm. I'm only 2 blocks from them. The guy on the phone at the restaurant is really rude. I mean r-u-d-e. If you want Bukhara's food, I'd suggest you actually go there and not order in. Their lunch buffet is really good.

Ate it before with co-workers and it was good. Today got delivery and it's been 1hr 40 minutes (7pm to 8:40pm) and still have not recieved my food. They have no idea whether they forgot to make it or whether it is just on its way -- which is very unhelpful.
Posted 4 years ago by Josephine H.
Beware ! These guys are rude! They shipped my order wrong, and when called up, they demanded I produce the old one for a replacement, otherwise, the guy told me "no apologies". The food is not worth the price.

This is my first restuarant review. This is by far the worst restaurant in terms of delivery. Be prepared to wait for at least 90 minutes for your order. And be extremely happy if your order comes complete.
Posted 4 years ago by Kodjo A.
It took them 80 minutes to deliver. All dishes were cold. They did not deliver the complete order and in fact they delivered a bread instead of an entry.

I wish I could rate the food; I've been waiting almost an hour since my delivery time (and I placed my order an hour in advance!). Despite clear instructions in my order to report to security and have them call up, the delivery guy has called twice from his cell phone and each time I tell him the same. I cannot leave the office to pick up a delivery until the security desk calls! I've called the restaurant and told them to tell their guy.....still waiting. No matter how good the food, it can't be worth this...

food is great; delivery was fine except they tend to forget some items for a large order.
Posted 4 years ago by BRIJESH A.
Poor delivery and prices are an absolute rip off; they have raised prices around 40% on most dishes in past year. Avoid. Try Darbar; better food at cheaper prices.
